Sibling Love

I love this age of children! A 3 and J 1 have decided that they are BEST friends. They love to run around the house holding hands and go everywhere together. Of course, J gets his feelings hurt when sister has over friends and he is left out, but as I told him yesterday, get used to it pal! They really are good to each other. There are the moments of biting, hiting, scratching, and of course crying, but all in all they are getting much better and much more loving with each other!!! YEAH!!! I LOVE IT!!

Dr. Jekyll and Mamma Hyde

Do you ever feel as if you are two different people around your kids? I sure hope so because otherwise I am a VERY bad Mommy! I find myself either being nice Mommy or mean Mommy, and I really don't like mean Mommy. Usually it starts with A having her grandmal Tantrums (i.e. hitting, biting screaming and not calming down for nice Mommy) and then mean Mommy comes out and I find myself yelling back which of course does nothing for the situation, an it really doesn't make me feel any better either. URGH!!!! Any suggestions from you good Mommies out there??? Or even from those of you like me who feel like you aren't always the best Mommy? I would really love to have some sort of guidance on what is best to try.

I'm Still a Man

While A was opening her birthday present today, J had fun playing with her other toys. Yep, my boy likes jewelry. The sparklier the better! I have wanted to make a video of all of his fun and put it to Brad Paisley's "I'm Still a Man". I think that would fit quite well. I'm starting to hope that I have another boy so that J can have some more testosterone in his life. . . but then what if they both like jewelry!?! I guess he does make up for it with his love of anthing that contains a motor.

I just thought that was the cutest sad face ever! Poor little boy! Did he finally realize that I was taking black mail photos?!?

My Little Girl Is 3!

A has been asking me for days if she is 3 so I was happily able to tell her today that she is finally 3! What a happy day!

After our chores were all done, we headed out side with our bubbles. I blew bubbles for nearly 40 minutes showing A how to do it, and the wind carried them all over the yard. The kids loved running and chasing them. Finally, A got the hang of it and was able to blow her own.

The kids enjoyed some time on the swings. They have both started liking swinging on their stomachs because so many times I am doing somethig else and not around to push them so they'll just start swinging themselves. I remember loving that as a kid! It was hard to get pictures of them because they kept jumping off to come and see the pictures before they were taken. I love the look of just joy and innocence they wear!

In the afternoon, we went to watch G-Force in the theater. It was kind of cute, and A LOVED it! She was all excited about watching guinea pigs since we had taken care of some for friends a few weeks back. At the end of the film, I had 2 sleeing kids, and unfortunately I was not able to get them out to the truck without waking them up. I guess I can't handle 3 kids at a time. Dang!

A opened the present from B and I. Can you tell that I only had Christmas paper laying around? Ooops! She didn't mind much!

We got her a pack of story reader books which are nice because they read the book out loud and she can follow along. She received one from her Grandma this Summer and LOVES it so we wanted to get her a few more books. It has been great while traveling in the car. That's my sales pitch for the day.

A wanted another Dora cake, but I told her that cupcakes would have to do because I didn't have the patience of making aother extreme cake. She was happy to be able to blow out candles again. This time she did it all by herself! What a big girl!

J just wanted to show off how scrumptous the cake is!! Funfetti is the way to go!

New Pajamas ROCK!

A's friend Liam gave her new pajamas for her birthday! Are they not the cutest things? I had to explain to her about the ballet slippers and the tutu, but she loved it! I was very relieved because she has wanted to wear her woolen footed pajamas every night and it is just TOO hot now!! I finally had to hide them up high in her closet so that she wouldn't find them and put them on. She wants them, her fleece blanket her sheet and her large comorter, and the house hasn't been under 80 degrees in over a week. Yeah... the ceiling fan barely cuts anything. So it is nice to have an option that she will gladly wear now. Just have to keep them clean.

My two kids are such little cuties!! They look so much a like. I tell people that if J grew his hair out and put bows in his hair it would almost be hard to tell them apart, but he is quite stocky compared to skinny minny. They are the best of friends and the worst of enemies all at the same time. Most days I am finding bite marks all over the two of them. . . URGH!!

I love when they are loving and want to hug each other good night. The other night J tried so hard to hug A, and she wanted NOTHING to do with it, but it was fun to watch him try. And then other nights she is all over him and he just loves the attention! He definitely idolizes her!

Birthday Party Madness

What do you call a 3 year old Birthday Party with 11 kids between the ages of 11 month and 3 years? Madness!!! But, also so much fun! Because the weather has finally gotte to be HOT we set up some pools, the slip 'n slide, a water squirting ball, and of course had the swing set for kids to go nuts on! It was a lot of fun for the kids! I'm sure the parents were wishing that there was a big person pool as well because we were just HOT! A had fun and was a little disappointed when I told her that she was still only 2. Poor little girl!

The slip 'n slide was a GREAT hit! B got quite the work out propelling kids down to their utter delight! I think he was worn out by the end, but check out the smiles!!

Liam with the look of pure joy! He definitely loved going fast on the slide.

Hailey S. having a ball.

Levi just chilling out.

Can you tell that the chapstick excited her! My little girl is starting to be a "Girly Girl"!

A showing off her new outfit. It is really cute!
I almost cried at the first cut! HAHA.. What a baby I am. But, I guess that is what 5 hours of hard works does to a pregnant woman.

Dora Cake Craze

Well Summer has finally arrived in upstate New York. On Friday night, our house was still hovering around 84-85 degrees as I decorated A's birthday cake for her Birthday. I was really worried at first because she wanted a Dora cake, and things weren't working so hot. Our first cake died when B tried to get it out of the pan, and then the second one didn't look much like Dora to me until I finally started getting the last few sections of icing on. It did turn out to be a VERY CUTE cake if I do say so myself!! A has actually asked me for another one. . . haha.. not anytime soon!! It took me 5 hours to finish this one, and the house was so hot the frosting kept wanting to melt so I had to keep it refrigerated etc to harden it back up. It was quite the adventure!! If anyone wants to buy or borrow the pan let me know =) I haven't decided if I should get rid of it so that I never have to do it again or not! HAHA
