Sometimes Life Just Falls into Place

A month ago, it seemed that everything was falling apart. The sell on our house fell through, the school we had applied to wasn't wanting to give B in-state tuition, and with that happening, there would be a possibility of him having to become a Signal Officer again instead of being in the FA 24 position that he loves.

This month, it seems that everything has just been falling into place, and I truly think that we owe thanks to our Heavenly Father. We have been truly blessed. We had a second offer on our home, and everything is in place and we are just waiting for the closing on 23rd November. B was able to get in-state tuition, and he just received his RFO (request for orders) which he calls our ticket out of here. Once he has started school, he has been told that he will officially become an FA 24 Officer.

The only thing that was missing was a place to live once we arrived. We looked at craigslist and found a great place near our church. Unfortunately, as we got more e-mails from the landlords, we started feeling more and more like it was too good to be true and that something was going on. We contacted the Bishop for our church in the area, and asked him if he knew of any places to rent or anyone to contact thereabout, and he referred us to a member who works in real estate.

B called her and had her look into the home we were interested in, and also asked what she had available. We did find out that the one we had liked was a scam so we were very lucky! We also were offered a house that seems to be in a great location to school etc. We decided to go ahead and apply for it and get it secured, and as of Monday when they receive our Rent Deposit, it will be officially ours until B graduates in 2011.

It is definitely strange putting in an offer and accepting a rental that we have not seen, but we have had two people tell us that it is a really nice home, and so we are just putting a lot of faith in others. We were able to pull it up on google maps and it seems to have some woods around it which will be fun for the dog and kids. We'll be e-mailing out our new address when the time gets closer etc.

I can't believe how fast time flies and how things can truly work out.

Hooray, Hooray for Daddy

When I told A on 25 Sep that Daddy was graduating from school and that we were going to go to his graduation, she ran around the house yelling "Hooray, Hooray for Daddy!" It was very funny. We are so proud of Daddy and for all the he has accomplished. He finished a very difficult course for the military and his only sad moment was that he didn't get to repel out of a helicopter. Well, the 2- 12 mile rucks, 1- 4 mile ruck, and the 6 mile ruck may have all been sad to, but he did very well!! His schooling started out with 190 possible graduates, and at gradation I believe there were only 85 remaining. Way to Go!!!

A Bunch of Sickies and our Updates

Well if you are looking for new pics, sorry you are going to be disappointed. It seems that the past few weeks we have just all been sick! B finished air assault school and that was great, but since then we have just all been coughing and not feeling the greatest. J was the only one not sick, and then last night he started in on the coughing as well. That is what I get for telling B it was a good thing that he was doing well. HAHA....

I have spent the past few hours working on my family calendar. URGH! It can be fun and painful at the same time. It definitely gets harder as our families gets bigger and bigger. Lucky for me, I think that I am pretty much done except for a few minute last minute pics to add in when babies are born in a month etc. And, one sister has yet to get many any photos (and you know who you are!!!!) Yes, she is in BIG trouble! I may have to vote her out of the calendar alliance.

Things with our house fell through, and of course the market has now ceased to exist. . . so keep us in your prayers that we will have someone come and make an offer soon. We did have good news and find out that B has been allowed in-state-tuition for school and so we should be able to get started in January. That will be really nice for us. A good change, but I will really, really miss all of the people up here in NY they have truly become my family. I will also miss the weather up here. As crazy as it is, I have really loved it!!

A is now convinced that she is having a sister, and she keeps trying to get me to buy baby girl clothes. I keep telling her that we can't pick what we want, and she just looks at me and says "But, I want a sister." URGH!! I think that J will be happy with whatever he gets except that it will mean that he'll be bumped down the cuddle chain...

I guess that none of us really know what we are in for. . . Let the adventures come!
