Easter Fun

It seems that our Easter Celebration was spread out over a weeks period this year. Due to General Conference falling on Easter Sunday, we gave our kids their Easter Dresses/Suit the week prior to wear to church. The girls were being so cute that I grabbed their pictures before church but #2 was in full tantrum mode so I don't have a photo.

The Wednesday before Easter, the kids had an Easter Egg Hunt with their play group friends. It was fun to see the kids run around finding eggs and getting all excited about it. #2 kept saying "Chocolate. . . More Chocolate" He was covered, but he was happy!

On Easter Sunday, we drove to Lewiston, MN to spend the day with Daddy's family. They were having a big family get together for Sunday lunch, and we figured we would join the fun. The kids loved playing with their cousins. I think we had 30+ people there.

My kids love the candy and eggs. I have been trying to teach them the real meaning of Easter. I was wondering if it really was getting anywhere, but then one night #1 said "Mommy, Jesus died for us!" I realized at that moment that she was getting it. She might not understand it completely, but she was really starting to remember what I would say!

I am so grateful for my Savior, and for the fact that he did die for each of us so that we can have the chance of making it back to our Father in Heaven! I am also thankful for his great atonement and for him taking all of our sins upon himself so that we can repent and receive forgiveness when we do wrong.

Spring is Finally Here!!! Kind of!

The past few weeks have been GORGEOUS! Hence, I haven't blogged much. We have spent every available moment outside socking in the rays of sunshine! The kids have been in heaven, and so has their Mommy! This week has been back to the 50s, but we are looking forward to more sunshine to come!

#3 eating it up! Literally. . .

Mommy & #3. We Love the Sun!

Daddy working on his first pinewood derby car! He was in heaven!

#1 enjoying the sun!

#2 and his stick.

I enjoyed teaching my kids the fun of being in trees.

I think #1 was a little scared when I was further away.

The pure joy on her face makes it all worthwhile!

#1 on her trike

#1 rolling on our hill. I did it a few times, and I remember how fun it can be!

#2 having a snack!

And this picture just sums up our love for being outside. I love that you can see the pure joy in her eyes. She would stay outside FOREVER if her Mommy would let her! Maybe when we have a fence someday!

Mornings Can Be Fun!

If you know our little family, you know that mornings are not our thing. The kids get up WAY too early, and they love to watch Dora and Diego (which are now on at 6 explain that one!) Daddy and I try to sleep in, but usually he gets away with it, and I get up to get breakfast and keep the kids sane!

These pics are from a morning when my kiddos were just being really silly, and it made me actually enjoy the morning.

I think this photo of #1 shows how we feel about mornings!

#2 being his cute little self!

Daddy woke up and was put on baby duty.

#3 is Getting So Big!

5 Months and counting! My little #3 is not so little any more. In the past few weeks, she has started eating rice cereal and rolling over. She can scoot pretty well on her back, but as soon as she gets stuck or can't move, she shrieks and shrieks. She also enjoys giggling now, and will laugh as people smile and coo at her! She knows how to get the attention!

Very first feeding! She wanted the spoon BAD!

Our latest feeding adventure! She hit the spoon with her hand just as I was putting it in her mouth, and as you can see. . . it got all over.

I can't believe how big she is in her chair now!

She had her leg stuck in the crib, but she was just cooing, and not even crying. Silly girl!
Sleeping like her big brother with her arms behind her head.
