Welcome to Life in Iowa

A new chapter in our lives has now opened. We moved into our home in Iowa and we are starting to settle in and get used to life. It took me nearly 2 weeks, but we are unpacked and ready to go! We are planning a trip to see my family for the holidays. We were going to leave tomorrow, but with a big storm coming our way, we are going to wait until Thursday. Enjoy the new pictures!

A loves being our big babysitter. I will let her lay on the couch and hold the baby while I clean up and unpack boxes. She loves it!

J loves to hold AL's hand.

AL just reached 1 month old! She is finally starting to fit into her newborn clothes.

My kids are all growing up! They sure do bring us a lot of joy!

Farewell to Great Friends

Some friends through a farewell party for us. It was a great time seeing people and having the chance to say goodbye. I really don't like goodbyes so it ended up being just a "see you later" party. Adults into having their photos taken so I just stuck with getting pictures of the kids. It hasn't hit the kids that they wont see their friends for quite some time if ever. It is probably harder for me to see them say goodbye than it is for them to do it.

J and his best bud Levi. I really think they look like brothers.

November in New York

Our time in New York came to a close in November. It seemed that time flew and we had to spend much of that time packing and getting things completed and ready to go. The house was set on the 23rd of November and so we planned on being out on the 21st. We loaded the truck on the 21st and spent the next two nights at the Ft. Drum in. Here are the pics that we have from our last few weeks in New York.

This is AL at 2 weeks old. She weighed 6 lb. She had only gained 3 oz from her Day 2-
5 lb 13 oz weight.

A New Addition to the Family

On 3 November, we were blessed with a new addition to our family. My water broke around 6:15 on the 2nd, and I waited at home as long as I could before having to go take the kids to a friend's house. We arrived at the hospital around 4:45 or so and the baby was born at 5:59. She is absolutely gorgeous! We have never found out the sex of our babies, but this time I had no feelings or anything. She remained unnamed for nearly an hour while B and I tried to figure out which name fit her. Luckily we found the perfect match! On here we will just call her AL, if you don't know her name e-mail me and I will get it out to you.

Family photo in the hospital. Unfortunately A is being a stinker!

J is so excited to be a big brother

AL was 6 lb 5 oz when we came home from the hospital.

The kids were so excited to take the baby home with them.

This is my favorite picture. AL is holding A's finger. How great it is t be a sister!
