The National Zoo is a pretty nice place. I like that it is in the middle of a HUGE city and yet while you are there it is pretty quiet and peaceful for the most part. The kids love to go there to see the animals.
We were lucky to be there while the tiger was roaring and going to get a drink. On the other side are the lions.
