My Crazy Little Boy

#4 is such a crazy lovable, silly, and at sometimes overly active boy. (Don't worry there are moments of I hate you mommy and abuse too).  He just makes me smile most of the time. He loves the ipad and anything electronic. He tried to come down one night, and after I kept sending him back to bed, he finally fell asleep behind the gate at the bottom of the stairs.

The other morning after getting himself dressed, #3 said "Mom, I have 2 shirts on!"  I also noticed that he had shorts over his pants. But hey, at least he got himself dressed. Many days he stays in his pajamas because he fights me on getting dressed in actual clothes.

He is my boy that often has bruises all over. The ones in this picture are from sister pushing him into his bed post.  Currently he has another from getting hit with a stick by brother who said "Well he asked for it." (Meaning he asked for the stick.)  Crazy boys!

I 've heard they calm down as teens. We'll see.  He is pretty crazy!

Happy Birthday #2

#2 Turned 7!

He is such a smartie pants and loves Legos, Star Wars, and anything that he can build with. He often tells me that he wants to be a cop because he likes donuts (No offense to anyone out there he came up with that on his own. I don't say it). I told him that I really can see him being an engineer of some sort because he sure loves to build and create.  I think he may be the next Bill Gates.

A New Addition

 Since having a newborn isn't stressful enough, we decided to add another baby to the mix.  Born just 2 weeks after the baby, we brought Piper home at just over 5 weeks on Christmas Eve. Her mama had developed milk fever and was unable to feed her babies, and the previous owners were getting worn out feeding that many puppies every hour to 2.  She started out as a fiesty mean girl who just wanted her milk. But, she is calming into a sweet cuddler.  She started out at around 2 pounds and in the past 2 months she has grown to be 21 pounds. She has surpassed the baby and the cat.  She is definitely a beauty and keeps Charlie on his toes.

                                    

Christmas Fun and Illness

Christmas was so nice and low key this year. We had a lot of fun, and then got hit with the flu.  Christmas night was finished with a visit to Urgent Care for #3 to get an IV and get some fluids.  We loved getting home made gifts from Grandma, Great Grandma, and Great Grandpa and our Cousin Cori.  We are so blessed with family and friends!!

Kids Grow Too Fast

It is amazing how fast time flies. Here are some pictures of the first 3 months.  #5 has been a blessing for our family. She is started life as a colicky crabby girl, and now even with sore gums from teeth getting ready to pop out, she is a happy baby.  She has almost giggled once, and I sure can't wait to hear it.  #5 was blessed in the church. I was able to crochet the dress and headband for her. Luckily it was cooler so she could wear it.  I would have been way to hot for the summer months. It really turned out cute.

 #1 Loves being a big sister again. She is such a big help and definitely loves her baby sister.

Early Baldness

The family mystery at this time is how #4 lost his hair.  He went to bed one night, and we found out that his brother had put toothpaste in his hair. When he woke up, he had a big bald spot and it was super smooth.  There was one small bunch of hair that had fallen out but no other traces of what had happened.  Our assumption was that Lucky the cat licked it out while he slept.

After about a month of it not coming back, I took him in to the doctor and was told that he has a yeast infection in the hair. RANDOM!  He has been on antibiotics for over 2 months and still very little has come back.  The doctors say to keep on keeping on with the treatment so that is what we are doing.

Science Fair Adventures

Science fair projects seem to get more complicated each year, but I think that is because I have more kids doing them each year. They start them off so young that truthfully they become more of a family project and often a mom finish me project. Needless to say, I used to love Science Fair and now it makes me cringe.  I'm like my kids, I love the experiment and don't care for the write up or research. Here are the ones we completed this year.

***I'm very thankful that Grandma came to visit during Thanksgiving so that she could help the kids get their research done and get pages made to go on the fold up. I thought I had pictures of the backboard, but I couldn't find them today.

These were all fun activities. Luckily we didn't have to write anything up for the preschool project.  The candy on the outside never melted. It was interesting!
